UGLY 138
He's trying way too hard to sound smart. Ignore him. He's not a journalist, he's just a whiny b itch with a dictionary.

What About Us 1,499
Shitty journalism. If he's THAT pressed against Gaga, I assume he must have a bug up his you-know-what about something. Promise I'll always be there. Promise I'll be the cure.
zakariah 11,718
This reviewer shits on Gaga every chance he gets, so his reviews are invalid to me.
Fiona Apple 13,006
I mean a lot of this is pretty accurate.
JesseBabe 837
I feel like he made some valid points, but it definitely sounded waaayy too bitter. I don't understand why they sent him, out of all the journalists the NYT has, to review her show when he doesn't like her at all lol.

Ziggy 11,640
Idk I don't really see where he was insulting her more or less seeing that she has a ton of potential and that the parts where she embraces that potential are the best bits of the show. Let's be honest here, who enjoys watching Gaga nail choreography on tour? Not me. I love when the moves are sloppy but there's something real and authentic about the movements (Telephone's MTB performances come to mind for me)--she's LIVING the songs there. To me, what I think he's saying is that watching her get lost in the music like this is so much more rewarding then watching her with a million dancers behind her trying to perform in lockstep when it's obvious she's always itching to improvise moves and just jam out feeling whether that's to her pop hits or her ballads. Like he said, she's "a conduit for profound feeling" and that to me is the most interesting thing to watch from her. Granted, I have not seen the show yet, and as a review he probably could have actually talked about things related to the performance and not her as an artist (i.e. we still barely have an idea of what the show is like from this review). Still, I think some of his points are spot on and this was much better than his borderline personally offensive review of Joanne.
androiduser 7,438
I really don't think this is a bad review, he pointed out all of her strong points and praised her talent multiple times. He just happens to think her talent shines with simple vocal performances. Not everyone is a stan who immediately loves everything. It's a valid professional opinion.
