Let me correct my previous statement as I just received a raven from my friend, Samwell Tarly who is currently at the Citadel studying to be a maester who told me of my family tree. :toofunny:

I, Jon Snow have a better claim to the iron throne despite having Daenarys as my aunt. My father, Rhaegar is the rightful heir to the throne and as his son, I stand to have a better claim to the throne than my aunt or any other relative even if I am a bastard.

But, technically, the Baratheons already own the throne and Gendry has a better claim.

It's getting really harder and harder to follow but it goes like this:

Gendry > Jon Snow > Daenarys Targaryen

No. We, bastards never get anything. :toofunny:

Technically, yes.

I think it would be because since I am a man, I will have a stronger claim bust since I am a bastard, I have no claims whatsoever. I'm just saying that people are technically wrong and Dany's claim will not be weakened as I learn about my parentage.

Bran can prove his skill/gift. He can predict **** about the near future and possibly about the past that only certain people know thus proving the legitimacy of his skills.

She has a stronger claim.

well of course, this is assuming that Jon never gets legitimized.

Jon isn't interested in the Iron Throne. His main focus is to defeat the enemies in the North, the White Walkers. Daenerys won't burn him, because he isn't a threat to her. :poot: (As of now unless a twist happens :laughga:)

If Jon is the daughter of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lynna Stark, would that not make him a Targaryen bastard?  Would a bastard have a claim to the Iron throne?

He wouldn't. But there is nobody alive with substantial claim to the throne anyways. He was never legitimized therefore he is and will be a bastard.

Now let's say they did get married, then isn't Dany daughter of Aerys? Then wouldn't her claim to the throne be stronger?

Technically she cannot claim the thrones besides the fact that Aegon Targaryen conquered Westeros. The fact that her family ruled for centuries is her only claim.

Why are people saying her claim will be weakened when Jon finds out about his parentage?

Because Bastards in different parts of Westeros follow different rules. In Dorne, Bastards are given the same treatment as legitimate members of the family, only after the legitimate children though. So Rhaegar being in line for the throne and Jon being his son would make his claim to the throne stronger than Rhaegar's little sister's.

Also, if Bran is the only one with the information, how is this supposed to be legitimised? If Jon does decide to join the Game of Thrones, then how will he legitimize the claim? The raven messages? I'm confused about that?

In the books, Jon can warg as well. Also people who were there fighting for Ned outside of the Tower where Lyanna was dying are still alive who could perhaps be of help.

And if Dany woke dragons and is the unburnt, does that not mean she's a true targaryen? Pure targaryen blood flows through her, does this not make her claim stronger?

Jon demonstrates no traits of being Targaryen (that we know of).... I mean they're literally FIRE and he's ICE. Can't get more opposite than that.

In my opinion he'll end up saving the world by defeating the white-walkers which will get him the people he needs.

It just became more than a fight for the throne with the night king coming to play.

I've been resurrected once and Melinsandre's willing to do it if I f*ck her again.

Gendry is a Bastard just like Jon who was never legitimized.

cersei is still considered Baratheon? :oprah:

technically Baratheons lost the throne when Joffrey became king because he and his siblings were born from incest, no?

This is what I believe as well. Basically everyone has an equal right to the throne as of now.

Who here watches GOT?

If you do, I have some questions and this is the only online forum I'm apart of and I have some BURNING QUESTIONS.

I don't know if this is in the right section but mods can move if needed.

Anyway, here's my q:

If Jon is the daughter of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lynna Stark, would that not make him a Targaryen bastard?  Would a bastard have a claim to the Iron throne?

Now let's say they did get married, then isn't Dany daughter of Aerys? Then wouldn't her claim to the throne be stronger?

Help.

You forgot that Jon Snow is a man. This fiction is set on medieval age where male heir will be the first choice than the female one even the bastards. See how Jon Snow is the current The King Of The North rather than Sansa?? :giggle:

More like they will make love and have a baby. The baby would be grow up to be the person sitting on the Iron Throne and they will sing him "A Song of Ice and Fire". The end. Bookmark me.

She's still using the Baratheon's sigil as seen in the episodes so far. But as far as the people of westeros' concern, they wouldn't believe a rumor that Joffrey's a bastard. It's still the Baratheon's reign. (right?; just another fan here decrypting the stories of Mr. Martin)
