my native language is german so I might be a bit biased, but I hate these kind of videos. I mean, I agree German definitely is one of the more "ugly"-sounding languages, especially compared to those melodic languages like French, Italian and Spanish, but the words they choose are always the most extreme cases of German cacophony. Also, the German speakers always exaggerate the words to an extent that it doesn't even sound German anymore. Just as an example, the first word "Flugzeug" is actually quite a smooth word, but the way the German speaker in the video pronounces it is very unpleasant and anything but authentic

Besides, all those other languages have ugly words as well, like "refrigerator"or "cicatriz" or "pipistrello"

I'm also from Germany, but I love these jokes. And I also love our language. Anyone with a common sense should know that we actually don't speak like that. But as these jokes are extreme and satiric, we actually have very funny words for foreign people, a result of the possibility to make words as long as we want and putting different words together. I recently saw a really long sign in Italy with 9 words describing an office wich we germans would just call "....amt".

But as long as we also make jokes about all other languages, everything is fine in my opinion.

We're German. Germans aren't sarcastic. :neyde:

I, I wish I could be sarcastic, but I'm a unhumorous German.
