Am I the only one who doesn't like that Gaga serves vocals too much these years?

I don't know how to explain this

but I'd rather her to be a Madonna than a Whitney Houston

she's better as a boundary-pushing artist than a vocalist

Sometimes I even don't want her to sing too flawlessly even when she can

it's just making her less attractive to me

I don't want her to seem so well-trained but I want her to be creative

thoughts?

I like like the vocals as long as the music is good and she is serving killer visuals. I'm disappointed with the killer visuals and some of the music lately.

She just needs to go back to being a visual pop star. Thats what's missing.  She's always sung well, We just miss the image.

She put John Wayne on Joanne and there's nothing technically difficult about that song lol it's the most "Gaga" song there. I don't think she's going to abandon anything, but I think she's needed to sing her heart out for awhile now in her music and this was the time. Have no fear :)

"I think she should stop focusing on the long-term health of her voice to get puked on again!"

Been a long time but I'm back in town, and this time I'm not leaving without you

Yeah. She needs a break too.

She could serve vocals and still be creative and boundary pushing. There is some major Madonna ignorance in this thread good Lord.

I get your point, and I kinda agree. She's proved her worth as a singer already.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.  I would prefer Gaga continue to explore as many avenues as possible.  She would be far less interesting to me if she were merely a pop star with cool visuals.  I do still love the visuals, which she certainly still serves (John Wayne's video is on my holy grail of vids along with BR, G.U.Y, and all BTW era vids except TEOG).

But everything else she does is part of what makes her so amazing. It's true, she's already proven that she can sing. But why stop there? She's given us so many different types of performances from different genres of music, I can't wait to see whats next.

You're taking that Madonna metaphor too seriously, I should've used David Bowie instead

Or because her vocals were annoying as hell when she kept screaming "It was a perfect illusion" for half of the song. That's why I think it flopped.

The vocals fit the tone and lyrics of the song. The problem was that people are used to hearing certain types of songs on radio and songs like PI didn't remotely fit into that box. It's a good song, just not a good radio song for today's market.

She uses different technique to 2009/2013 so some songs sound different when she sings them now :green:
