I'm one of the few who like Harlem Shake, so sue me (it reminds me so much of the "leaked" Ratchet instrumental which is why I'm surprised that the majority of GGD hates this tune). I Could Be The One has majorly grown on me. Surprised that When I Was Your Man seems to have stalled (just typical that one of the best songs on that album isn't doing that well). Looks like S&S and Get Up have recovered from the huge tidel wave of downloads they got and are winding down. Surprised that Rita Ora's new song hasn't taken off. I think once her first three singles were over and her album got released, the public slowly began to realise that the girl was all hype and her non singles sucked. When an XF performance only got Shine Ya Light into the top 10 and no more, it was clear there was trouble ahead. She might well re-release it when the US version gets released, because that version's going to have several new songs. At the moment, iTunes price reduction after price reduction is the only thing that's keeping that album afloat.

Rach, Taylor is winning. I call it awards show politics. ****ing frustrating and wrong, but it's what happens.

I can't say I've been watching the BRITS for long enough to work out winning patterns. At the Grammys, the ones who perform tend not to win much. Is it the exact opposite for the BRITS? It was certainly true the year Gaga and Rihanna performed. If this is the case, then yeah, as no one else in the category is performing, it looks like it's Taylor's time. Drat. But hey, at least that system makes better sense than the Grammys, who blatantly use the biggest A-list singers of the moment for ratings by inviting them to perform and nominate them for five or more awards and then send them home empty handed. Katy Perry must be wondering what she has to do to win a single trophy.

I didn't think this was being released yet - it'll be interesting to see if it hangs around or not. Hopefully it'll result in a rise for the (amazing) original too.

Diamond Heart

If Taylor wins that award, the BRITS will officially be a joke, not just a speculation anymore. Considering that Taylor hasn't made a splash in the UK until now (and only because she sold out and she still hasn't had a #1 single here), it would be pretty stupid to give her this, especially as her album was only released in October anyway. It seems to be really slim pickings for the award this year. Rihanna can't win it, not for the third year in a row. Cat Power doesn't stand a chance, as indie artists never do. Alicia's chances are slim to none. Lana has to win this. Rihanna and even Taylor will have the chance to win again later in their careers. Lana most likely won't. The UK was the kindest country in the world to Lana, giving her the most sales, chart positions and sold out tour dates. This award really would be the icing on the cake for her (and will hopefully encourage her to have lots more dates here with her next album!)

If Lana doesnt win it would actually be criminal. She deserves it so much more than the rest and shes made such a name for herself in the UK. UK LOVES some Lana.

If taylor wins...... :pukey:

Kylie also won Best Int. Female the only 2 times she performed solo at the Brits, 2002 and 2008.
