StrawberryBlond 14,268
miley had a decent lead on wednesday. btw, rihanna is releasing another album this year, did you hear? lol. I'm hoping the rumour isn't true for 5 reasons: 1. It was just said on MTV Italy, not MTV US or UK which are much more reliable. 2. There is no confirmation on Wikipedia. 3. Her tour continues right into November and her team only overlap new albums with old tours if it's absolutely necessary. 4. She's been releasing her singles differently and a lot slower with Unapologetic and she's still only on single #4 and she normally releases 6 singles per album. 5. If she was aiming for a release this year, there'd be a lead single announcement right about now as it would have to be a September release at the latest. For all these reasons, I'm not believing it until something major is announced by Rihanna herself. Yeah, when we're in a major release slump, US mainstream radio is SOOOOOOO boring... lol. The only thing making it bearable right now is that they're totally prepping the GP for Gaga with the amount of EDM they've been playing lately. My only fear is that they'll jump all over Roar because it'll be the first single by a huge artist in ages and Applause could get lost. Almost all the US #1's this year have been by new artists, independent artists and one hit wonders. Katy will be the first established, successful act to be trying for a lead single #1 this year, so it's going to be tense.

Still hoping BL takes away enough steam from Roar that Applause can edge past it no problem, but I guess we'll just have to see! Anyway, enough about the US charts in the UK section... lol. I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.

Sexxx 5,538
Ellie bumped up her release date? So are there any major songs that will be released the same week as "Applause"? Emile Sande/Naughty Boy's new one, and Miguel's Adorn
Jase 13,077
Adorn won't do anything, the Naughty Boy/Em Sande song should go top 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79YDgv_zWA4 ^ Is her biggest competition. Strong radio backing, doing brilliantly on pre-orders + there's a fake version of it charting on itunes
