Harry 26,836
 have they discounted anything else from Gaga's discography? I wish they'd have both TFM and BTW discounted for the release of Applause. Public interest in them will be increased anyway and it would just generally be good strategy. Plus I want BTW to hit 1 million soooo bad.

Robotboy 1,700
Roar is out September 8th here, so there'll be no Gaga/Katy battle in the UK thats weird. if you are a huge star you should have your lead singles/albums drop same time everywhere Remember that you are unique. Like everyone else.

StrawberryBlond 14,268
Roar is out September 8th here, so there'll be no Gaga/Katy battle in the UK Thank the lord! I was worrying about that prospect considering that all Katy's lead singles went to #1 in the UK. That means that Applause will be the next UK release by a global artist which will hopefully mean an instant #1. Miley's been irrelevant in the UK for the last few years and hasn't even had a top 10 until now and if she can do it...

ctherainbow 3,162
It went to #1 too. The UK charts work differently from the US ones. In the UK, our top ten is always changing and there's a new #1 practically every week whereas in the US, it's not unusual for the top ten to change very little for months and the same song to be #1 for many, many consecutive weeks. Also, our YouTube views don't count and radio doesn't have as much power over where a song charts. Radio over there must be so boring with the same mainstream songs played over and over. It's no wonder you guys hate One More Night by Maroon 5 after radio forced it down the country's throat for two months in an effort to stop Gangnam Style taking the top spot. Yeah, when we're in a major release slump, US mainstream radio is SOOOOOOO boring... lol. The only thing making it bearable right now is that they're totally prepping the GP for Gaga with the amount of EDM they've been playing lately. I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.
