It was 4 months tops and felt longer because we had a single that was doing well, an announced music video with teasers and hype and no Gaga. End of first month ; she said she's getting it out don't worry. Second month ; lolwut. Silent. Third month ; we'd come to the conclusion that there were serious issues with the video and maybe she was re-shooting it with Xtina's version. Still silent. (December-Jan). Fourth ; lol yall aint gettin a MV srry kids.

I remember watching the SwineFest livestream :selena:

Her sabotaging her own era by performing better versions of half her album, posting extremely long snippets of others, releasing 3 other songs, etc leaving ARTPOP with only one-two "new" songs on release :selena:

I miss it too, so much. I remember watching the swinefest livestream alone at a family reunion, and how the album leaked on ''dia de muertos'' and i listened to it so excited on my grandma's tomb, gaga's looks were everything and she was full of energy always even though she was very depressed. RIP A-R-T-P-O-P

omg the swinefest was one of the best moment of the era :whitney:

The only part of the ARTPOP era I got excited about was Swinefest. It's literally the only thing in that era that stands out in a positive way for me. While the music itself did not disappoint me, the era was a dumpster fire.

I still think that Gaga has not recovered from it, in a personal sense.  ARTPOP drained her more than we'll ever know, I think.

That said, I much prefer this era. Yes, she did not believe in Perfect Illusion enough to give it proper promo, and she let a hit song like The Cure to fizzle out, but she HAS been delivering some of her best performances of her entire career during this album cycle.  And I know people must be freaking out over how the tour will go, but I have faith that we won't be disappointed whatsoever.

It was like December and thats it, maybe some of January, but she released a statement about ARTPOP blackout like Jan 1st. We still got AMA performance (End of Nov., Jingle Bell Mid December, DWUW with Xtina Mid/Late December)

People are overreacting there wasn't really a blackout she still performed.

Same! I was watching some ARTPOP interviews the other day and I realized how much I missed it. I loved the way she looked and the things she talked about. artRAVE was an amazing experience for me and I made sure to buy tickets since I was one of the cancelled BTWB concerts! This is probably my favorite look ever from that era!

same!! ARTPOP will always be one of my favourite era's i remember everything so clearly, but what i think it taught me was to not take anything for granted and to live in the moment, it felt like lots of us where overly critical of her and just wanted the era to be over and more music to be released ACT 2 ANYONE?? :reductive:, so i regret being apart of that and not enjoying the everyday with her more :interestinga:

Edit: i don't know why but i just though of these teaser videos from swinefest, i remember being so hyped and excited to see her comeback

ARTPOPism

I miss the middle/end of BTW, when she started to release monstervisions, talk about ARTPOP, communicate with fans and write a lot of funny tweets. I miss the whole expectations around ARTPOP and all the hints that she used to gave us.

I watched all the monstervisions today and almost cried. Especially with those two:

I remember when I watched ARTPOP at iTunes Festival. I couldn't stop crying. Or when I waited for Dope until midnight and listening that "My hearth would break without you" at the last part.
Miss u, ARTPOP. You will always be in our hearths and minds as one of the best albums ever created.

I remember when I heard them. I was like "OMFG. It sounds like heaven" then she tweeted something about the sound was distorted and I just died. I couldn't imagine the real version.

Keep in mind, the ArtRave tour only lasted 6 months. It was a pretty short tour.

And also keep in mind everything that @Kermit said. On point. She was MIA for almost 4 months after she released ARTPOP.
