This is how change starts. What that woman did is brave and revolutionary. All those who say she should not have done it, because it clashes with the culture. Same way of thinking could be used to justify opposition to an African woman slave protesting the authorities for legalizing her being raped by her white owner, as it is was not part of the general public opinion.

Before entering the thread I saw the title as "Woman with skirt sparks outrage in..." and I guessed it was Saudi Arabia I feel like they're stuck in a time frozen warp thing or whatever it's called It's rooted in religion though so I'm not sure if there's much else to kinda say or argue about it, unfortunately I don't see it changing anytime soon and until then I don't think it's wise to be doing things like this because it's not worth the punishment as an individual. However, maybe this is exactly what's needed to make the change over time? As in small things like this adding up until one day eyes are opened or they're put into a position where they need to be loosening up on the law The question is whether any change will actually happen though, because they're extremely set in their ways

stay out of their business? what about the innocent people that are suffering there on the daily? do you think they are happy with their laws? people there are literally getting their heads chopped off because they are gay or because they criticize islam and the government
