HaI'm not sure I've ever heard these pleasant messages on the underground :sharon:

This :rip: Can't ever remember being told "good morning" by anyone on the underground except buskers :emma: Only time TFL people speak to us is when the train driver's giving a message to mind the closing doors or that we're being held because there's a train ahead at the station and both of them aren't started with any pronouns :laughga:

To reply about this specific change, it helps some people and doesn't make a difference to the majority so I don't see why not  it's not unnecessary because clearly some people are happy with it, and there's no reason for any "ladies and gentlemen" to be offended because they're encompassed in "everyone" anyway

Being intersex doesn't make someone another gender. It means they have a birth defect.

Exactly! I wish more people would realize this

Of course people are angry over this :smh: This is apparently so "unnecessary" and there are "bigger problems to worry about", yet here we all are arguing over what's such a minor change to a single phrase that negatively affects nobody.

Is it necessary to use the term "ladies and gentlemen"? I doubt it, so what's the big deal? They've made the smallest change in the world, it doesn't hurt you and there are there bigger problems to worry about.

Some people feel "ladies and gentlemen" doesn't apply to them, gender neutral terms encompasses everyone, making such a minor change doesn't hurt anyone, so they made a minor change to their announcements.

I listened out for it today but heard nothing either :emma: only passive aggressive announcements haha!

It reminds me of this though, especially today when it's sweltering and unbearable down there.

Viewer discretion is advised
