I would watch the performances with a friend and laugh at her singing (you've got to admit her voice during the Fame era was weird ). I became a fan when I listened to Paparazzi. The first performance I remember watching after this was Paparazzi in acoustic : This made me adore her. The only GGD member who can read / Credits to Celloo Deng for the profile pic!
