There are so many celebrities out there that I can give you no make-up receipts for to show you who the true woman underneath is and she's not the hottie men are drooling over. It may not be the nicest thing for these celebrities when it happens to them but I think it can be partly beneficial to them because it might help them to stop living in a dream world where they think they can put forward a false image of themselves and have it never be called out. I have no doubt in my mind that some of them genuinely think they look like their airbushed self all the time, they've become blind to reality.

She did a perfectly normal picture when Blue was born, which was so much nicer because it looked organic and real. But she took a different route for the twins and it comes off completely differently. When you control your own image, it'll always be shrouded in perfection and narcissism. There's no reality involved. And Beyonce has taken this concept to hell and back. She approves everything, she didn't even like candid shots of her circulating from the SuperBowl because a lot of them showed her looking a bit too...human. She's too obsesses with perfection and is encouraging her consumers to be obsessed to. I don't think there's anything admirable, cool or amazing about that.

Beyonce taking control of the narrative of her life and that of her families shouldn't be concerning.

That's most celebrities  Again, this was true for Gaga at one point too - she would 'rather die' than be caught without heels.

This is 90% of instagram posts by every celebrity on Instagram this is 100% of the magazines. Why the selective outrage?

You and I are really discussing completely different things. I'm talking about (with responses to this being about how 'extra' this shoot is) how I have no problem with Beyonce, a public figure, who understands the media are going to get a picture of the twins at some time or another - taking control of the narrative and taking creative control over her own image.

You are outraged at her use of photoshop and they are completely different issues.

No... Taking control of your image is self empowerment. Case in point, you have no problem with her controling the first image we saw of her and Blue - that's also her controlling her own image. Why should she allow outside forces to determine her own narrative? Why should outside forces dictate what the first images of her twins look like? How they talk about her body? What her story is? How much she wants to say about this event?

If you're issue is with photoshop... Fine, but it's a separate issue and one that's far more pervasive than this photograph and an issue that's far more widespread than Beyonce... I don't see the same passion whenever a magazine cover featuring another photoshopped celebrity comes out or when another artist posts a photoshopped instagram picture.

I dunno why u don't think this is extra. A simple candid photo showing her holding the twins would be more genuine than basically making an event of announcement by doing a polished editorial photoshoot. The amount of effort she has to take. Well maybe it is her doing her thing. She's really calculated in presenting and marketing herself lately. I personally find it...pretentious? Cannot find the right word

Pretentious? Simple? Beyonce was never simple and will never be simple. An event would be selling the pictures to different magazines. She posted it on her Instagram. Life's to short to just be SIMPLE. You are a Gaga fan and you're hating on beyonce for not being simple. That logic I will never understand by people like you.
