This photo wasn't meant to be what people want, its her photo on her instagram with her kids. She doesn't have to pose a certain way and take a basic ass selfie photo lmao. She shares her personal moments in her own time, in a way that she can control and in a way that controls the narrative rather than having the media spin their own story (Like, is Beyonce actually faking her pregnancy and using a surrogate??) Remember we stan Gaga who used to talk about how she always wanted to be dressed like a superstar, how when she walked out the hotel she wanted her fans to feel like they where on the red carpet, how she would go bowling in heels rather than the shoes they give because she would 'rather die' than have her fans not see her in heels and full regalia. This isn't really too different. She is very personal, but when she does reveal something personal it's in her work - whether that be in a visual album where she discusses her husband's infidelity or whether that be in a professional photoshoot revealing her pregnancy or twins for the first time. She knows the paparazzi are going to snap photos of them at some point, why not control the image? Why not control the narrative? Yeah it's extra as hell, but awesome. This is the equivalent of a celebrity like Demi Moore or Jessica Simpson posing pregnant on Vanity Fair or Elle. It's the equivilent of Brad and Angelina doing a photoshoot with People for the first public photos of Shiloh or Celine Dion going to Hello magazine to print exclusive first photos of her boys Nelson and Eddy. The only difference is now it's on instagram and Beyonce has far more control over what the picture is going to look like, what picture/pictures they are going to post and what/how much she wants to say about the event. This isn't new, it's just a different medium where the artist, or celebrity, has more creative control over what they share and how they share it. Like, hey, she's happy and healthy and has two new beautiful kids and wants to do something lavishly over the top to commemorate it.
