Why Is Everyone Saying Kesha's New Music Is "Joanne?"

I've seen it all over this cult site and some YouTube comments, everyone saying,

"OMHDHDG Kesha is taking a lot of hints from Joanne this time around."

"This is so Joanne."

"Call her, Joanne."

"Joanne, HA IMPACT."

"Kesha's copying Gaga a bit."

Funny-Mocking-SpongeBob-Meme-364x236.jpg

etc.

Why? :oprah:

Idk if you guys know that her hometown is Nashville, Tennessee, which is one of the biggest meccas of songwriting/music. She grew up with many musical influences that were Rock/Folk/Country. Her mom, Pebe Sebert, is a songwriter who gained some success for writing some music that ended up being sung by Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, and Johnny Cash (huge Country stars). It would be obvious that Kesha would have some of these influences in her music, even in some of her earlier work (before Joanne). :music:

I know that this probably sounds over dramatic but , what I'm trying to say is that Kesha isn't copying Joanne. I feel like Kesha always wanted to have some more music like this in her repertoire since she grew up with it, but wasn't able to due to her not having a lot of creative control in the past. So stop making everything about Joanne when this is about Rainbow. :firega:

So yeah, that's my little rant or explanation for the day I guess hehe. :hor:

Buy Praying and Woman on iTunes and do yourself a favor and preorder Rainbow while you're at it. Peace. :nick:

It's Joanne in a sense that it's GOOD music. :sis:

Now that reasoning I can get behind :firega:(don't come for Kesha's earlier work though :nails:).

Because according simple stan logic, if an artist does a certain look, vibe, music in an era, let's say in 2014, and another artist does a similar vibe, style, look, music in his/her era, let's say in 2015, then the artist who started his/her era in 2015 is 'copying' the the artist who started his/her era in 2014, because according to stans, he/she created the trend of the particular look, aesthetic, music genre etc.

This is just my opinion, i'm not coming for any fanbase/anyone. And I love Kesha very much, stanned her since TiK ToK, and I fking love Woman.

Kesha is actually a stellar pop songwriter, but I just never could get behind the usage of auto-tune in her earlier work. Especially now, when it is dialed back and you can see she's also a fantastic vocalist, it kinda upsets me that she wasn't allowed to operate at the fullest of her capacities. :noparty:

I'm not sure either considering Kesha is actually a country girl and she's just making the type of music she set out to make before she met Dr Luke anyway :emma:

We little monsters tend to compare everything to Gaga. Like a new artist could rise and we'd already be like ha The Fame is coming ! Will she/he have an ARTPOP era, etc

I mean a lot of people are comparing the current KP album cycle to ARTPOP.

I mean no one owns a particular set of styles or sounds, and Kesha certainly does have a history with this type of music.

But the fact that it is floating at all on radio rather than being an intended flop (when an artist doesn't care if it is popular or not), is the fact that Joanne opened the doors a little bit last year for pop stars/Top 40 stars to take this route.

Hence Harry Styles (Sign of the Times), Miley Cyrus (Malibu), Selena Gomez (Bad Liar), and now Kesha's recent more 70's/rock pop sounds with Praying

Gaga is responsible for planting the seeds. Had she not released Joanne and hit #1, these artists would have released the same songs they had intended, but with the production of Kygo or the Chainsmokers.

This is so annoying. Kesha always had the country influences. Country was on her roots even before Gaga
