well I was on a pre-vacation at a hotel and I just woke up and my family was there with me :tongue: 

and then I just went on my usual GagaDaily check up and I saw 'Perfect Illusion' :gum: 

Do you ever feel like EXCITED but like its not real so its sort of just like OH MY GOD feeling like SKSJSJSJ I cant explain, like youre in shock :wtfga: 

and I when I saw the thread I was SCREAMING but I was in the room so I was smiling and even tearing a bit but I looked chill but inside I was 'SJSJSJDJSJ OH MY GOD MY A*US IS SHAKINGAJSKSKKSDK' :tony:

I dont remember where i was when it was announced but i do remember when the song came out. I was in my room studying for my physics final I had the next morning. I thought I wouldn't be able to concentrate because I'd have the song on repeat all night. When the song came out I listened to it twice then went back to studying. Huge disappointment, instrumental I loved but her vocals + the repetitiveness ruined it. Also it was super hyped because all those radio hosts kept saying it was sooo good and would be a huge hit :neyde:

EDIT: Also I misread the poll. I thought it was asking for when I heard the song lol. When she announced it I was a 10

I had just come back from school and the news had just been posted like 3 mins ago so I didn't miss the initial reactions :diane: I was SHOOK BEYOND BELIEF, it seemed like she had been teasing us for like an eternity and then she just droppedT this with almost no information :diane: I wish that color palette had been used more tho :madge:

At the park with my best friends from my class, one of them was doing musical.lys and I was telling her it was stupid.

 I think it was 3 days after the official release, I had no idea cause my charger wasn't working, had no access to the PC, so i didn't know the lead single situation.

Then she puts on the song to do one musical.ly, and I hear Gaga's voice, so after 7 years of stanning I knew I hadn't heard that song, so I asked her what was that song, and she was like "It's Lady Gaga's new song" and I just screamed out loud and started saying "yas yas yas yas yas yas yas" with my most gay voice, and I was like "Bish give me the phone", then when I saw the cover, the name, the song, I ended my throat screaming.

Wild end of day that was :poot:

this is the state of grace, this is the worthwhile fight

I have the best story and memories about that day :giveup: 

My pianist boyfriend has just finished a musical composition for a prestigious international contest the day before. For his work of art, he had chosen the theme of illusions. More or less at the end of the whole process (so, some days before), he jokingly told me "imagine if Gaga now announced a new album/single/work about illusions. That way the circle would be completely round". I answered "naaah, no way, I don't think so, haha".

My bf used the expression of "the circle would be complete", because when Gaga did the Reddit AMA, she answered my question about her favorite classical piece by telling she loved "Songs Without Words" by Mendelssohn, which had already been one of my personal favorites for some years when my bf played it for me. :flutter: 

So, back to the day when Gaga announced "Perfect Illusion". Accompanied by family and friends, we were traveling to the mountains. When we arrived, we were getting a drink in a bar and I thought I should check GGD a bit. I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the title. Both my bf and I were speechless and like "OMGGGG", we couldn't believe it. Our friends were like "wut. What's happening to them?" I called my mum and all because I was so shocked. 

Best part of all: at the end of September, it was announced my boyfriend had WON the contest. :giveup:

I was constantly checking GagaDaily for weeks for something like this

i have a bath and come out half an hour later and I missed all the initial buzz from the announcement :selena: I've never taken a bath since :selena:
