This was when my Dad recognized her talent too. I didn't know the special was on until my Dad came into my room, absolutely RAVING about Gaga. Since then, my Dad has been a huge fan of a lot of stuff she's done, like C2C. Thats so cute. I don't think that my dad likes her, but he went with me to "The Lady Gaga Experience" at the Museum of Science anyway. ⚯͛

Glittertinks 12,452
I love it when Gaga plays the Piano, these moments have always been the highlights for me during her shows or live performances I kinda hope she will one day do an album with just her voice and the piano, that would be a dream come true And while we're talking about it... enjoy

So raw and emotional. I love this performance. When she sings, you forget about the mustache, its just her voice. 1 hour ago, Fashion Baby said: I'm really happy you made this thread Monsters are always soo negative towards Gaga and that makes me really sad. blackcoffee 1,264
Thank you SO much for starting this thread of positivity! Definitely a breath of fresh air. I think my favorite thing about Gaga, beyond her immense talent, is that she has this classic quality about her where you can tell she is so inspired by her classic idols of the 70s and 80s, yet she's not a throwback artist. She takes that amazing music and adds her own touch. She is so much like the talented classic pop and rock stars of the 70s and 80s. Even though I was born in 1990, classic rock of all sub genres and lots of popular music (folk, pop, soul, etc) from the 1970s and 1980s is my favorite type of music because I was raised on it. I of course love a ton of 90s music (rock, alternative, R&B, country, pop) and music from the 2000s and today (my main musical interest nowadays is various alternative and rock genres), but my favorite, like Gaga's, will always be those classic acts. I even grew up as a musician (saxophone mostly), so I have a deep love of jazz music too. I guess in these ways, I feel so connected to Gaga because we have basically the same musical taste and were raised on similar music. We love a lot of the same bands and artist and I can hear that love and inspiration in her music. My favorite Gaga is when she has that timeless, classic sound and spirit that inspired her...TEOG, Yoü and I, Joanne, etc. That's why Joanne and then BTW are my favorite albums of hers. I love how glam rock she was in her TF and TFM days. And even when she releases work that aren't really to my musical liking, like the majority of ARTPOP and The Cure, she still provides gems for fans like me to enjoy and there's always the idea of "what's coming next?!" with her. I remember being sold on her way back in like 2008 after hearing her on KIIS FM here in LA. I liked Poker Face, but when she performed that cute, jazzy version of PF on the piano for the radio broadcast, I was HOOKED! Her on piano for anything is when she truly shines and is at her best. I love TF. I love TFM. I love BTW. I LOVE C2C. I love the tributes. I LOVE Joanne. I LOVE the SB performance. I love the Lukas Nelson stuff. And more and more. I hope as she progresses she does a rock album. I hope she does a complete singer-songwriter album with mostly her and piano. I hope she does another jazz album. I hope she does a glam album. I hope she does a soul album. I would LOVE if she did a Christmas/holiday album and had an original song in the same vein as "All I Want For Christmas Is You" that really stuck with everyone and gave her this unique longevity that Mariah Carey has each holiday season because of that now classic song. I'm so excited to see her live again next month and hope all the monsters there are just as appreciative (this hasn't always been my experience unfortunately). TheBatman 951
Diamond Heart, Ayo, Joanne, and Sinners Prayer are songs I still want to sing EVERY DAY! Her superbowl performance absolutely slayed me and far exceeded my expectations, and really made me root for her again in a way I hadn't since the BTW era. The JW video coming out after that was everything I had been wanting from her so far this era, and her Coachella set also gave me tons of life! I have had my complaints and opinions about this era and ARTPOP, but despite that, in the end I still grew to LOVE those songs on Joanne and these live performances, and I will absolutely buy a ticket to the tour (something I was sure I wouldn't do before the era grew on me.) Still, it is my favorite music and I have a hard time branching out with the exception of 90s rock. There was just so much soul in the music from the 1970s and below, before electronic music. A real sense of musicality and precision. They were true musicians, and albums were so layered. I think that I was drawn to Gaga because she was a musician first. You can hear that in her work, even though it is electronic music. You listen to one of her songs and you can hear every song she's ever listened to. 2 hours ago, blackcoffee said: My favorite Gaga is when she has that timeless, classic sound and spirit that inspired her...TEOG, Yoü and I, Joanne, etc. That's why Joanne and then BTW are my favorite albums of hers. I tend to not get depressed when she releases something that I am not a hug fan of because I am so excited for what is to come in the future. My mom says that being a Lady Gaga fan is like being a David Bowie fan back in the day. He changed so much and was abandoned by many of his fans, but there was that percentage that were bound to him and appreciative of his journey. I am that kind of a Gaga fan. I would love a rock album, or a very stripped down singer songwriter album that really highlights her vocals. A Christmas album would be fantastic, because Christmas music lasts forever. ⚯͛
