I get Lana and Marina, but when has Lorde been basic? She hasn't even cracked Top 10 in previous years and she crafted this year's best pop album for me, so far.

Love Club and Pure Heroine were both pretty sweet, but I have not been here for Melodrama, it was a very flaccid record imo, although GGD collectively lost their sh*t over it. It could've been cute, but I was just very underwhelmed that she was gone for as long as she was, and then this is what she came back with.
