I’ve always loved ARTPOP  and i never got why everyone hated it. I always see posts where they say it was because of problems between Gaga and her manager but i don’t know what really happened, could someone explain it to me?

Don't worry. I love ARTPOP too! Many of us love ARTPOP. :):)

Some of the fans focus on the commercial side (even though it was a #1 album), but there are amazing things to love from this era in my opinion (the songs, videos, performances, tour, rebel fashion)

It was a problem with Troy Carter. Gaga felt he was only using her as a money-making machine and not as an artist. That explains the beginning of the G.U.Y video. They split up in november 2013, around the release of the album.

She hasn't actually given us all the details about what happened because she can't legally, but basically Troy carter left her at the beginning of the ARTPOP era. He had taken up other projects and put gaga on the side because she wasn't as successful and making as much money. He was an effective manager, but in the end the pressure was just too much for her. He also did not even care to see Gaga at the hospital after her hip surgery.

I’m so mad at him. It’s his fault if now we don’t have the ARTPOP app, DWUW and VENUS MVs and maybe also ACT II. If i remember correctly Gaga said in an interview she didn’t want to have anything to do with her previous management and those things were set with Troy apparently.

Gaga was initially suppose to release ARTPOP during the spring. Her hip happened. Tony viewed it as delaying the possible success of the album. So despite not emotionally or maybe even physically ready for a new album he propmpted her to start teasing the album already in the summer. Applause was good but didn't manage to beat Roar. Overtime he didn't think of Gaga as a primary money maker compared to the last three eras. So he practically jumped ship before the album was released this disrupting her management and any project for ARTPOP either became canceled or abrupted to a halt. He eventually viewed her as a cash cow and nothing more.

Besides the personal aspect of her not wanting to, im sure she's not even legally allowed to release any of that because Troy co-owns that material.

When Gaga is free to create she is at her best. After the split she had some career-defining moments: Cheek to Cheek era, the Oscars 2015, Superbowl (to quote some). So Bobby is a better manager for her, and more effective in that way. She's an human and must have time to breathe! About the hip surgery Troy had a really bad atitude.

Troy left her before the Dope performance at the Youtube awards I think. He kept pushing her to do more BTWB dates after her injury happened, and he pushed her too much in the BTW era.

wasn't there a conflicting report from Gaga, about the manager not even visiting her in the hospital, and about coming to the hospital to check when she can get back to work, or something like that?

I believe he started the ARTPOP album cycle while Gaga was still recovering in hospital, he also started various business ventures and investments that took his attention away from her career and he was juggling too much on his plate. I think money just became a driving factor for him.

I love the album with all my heart but the era was her worst due to her mental health issues (which was so sad to witness :( ) and due to her management issues.

Gaga couldn't resist when he told her "no" so she went crazy and threw stuff on poor Troy and then he accused her for BTW/EY and she was like honey I got the mail from Madonna's team and the bitch approved and he was like nah nah nah she didn't and he started to play She's Not Me on his iPhone 7+ (only at Apple Store) so Gaga was really furious like this :saladga: and she fired poor Troy and left him without a single cash, she took everything from him so he took ACT II and called Apple to remove the app from the App Store, anyway while walking down the street, sad, stressed and disappointed, Troy heard something, a song, but da base base base yeah it's pretty clear she's not having act 2.. and he signed Meghan Trainor and became her manager now.. then he like told her bitch bye and left her too and her career is over for now.. so look how destiny is working.. all this was to destroy the career of the a talented and sweet artist - Meghan Trainor.

Two important responsibilities of a manager in any business:

1. Treat the people you manage very well.  The people you manage have the talent that ultimately brings in the money.

2. Provide the people you manage with whatever they need to do their job well.  Each person is different and has different needs.  Gaga's need is creative freedom.  Many artists don't need this freedom in order to thrive.  But Gaga isn't any artist, and a manager must recognize the difference and handle the artist differently than the usual case.

Plenty of managers would have been thrilled to have someone as talented as Gaga.  Troy was the lucky recipient of what Gaga brings to the table.  Gaga may have thrived even more with a different manager than Troy.

I live outside the space time continuum.
