You don't understand what is happening. If you don't understand CA, then go read scholarly articles and understand the socio-impact of what it means. 

Also, your examples are extreme. They have nothing to do with CA.

CA is defined as "the adoption or use of the elements of one culture by members of another culture.Cultural appropriation". So why is food excluded?

Because the examples you gave me aren't not classified as CA. A white man eating Ethiopian food isn't CA.

I wasn't talking about eating, I was talking about the people who run an "exotic" food buisness.
I read a lot about "cultural appropriation" but maybe I don't fully understand it as I'm french : I think this is an American concept and "American way of thinking" somehow

I live in Corvallis during the school year because I do go to school at OSU. The town is super small, liberal, and hella white, and while there are a few sushi , thai, and a dozen American restaurants, there are no Hawaiian. I really wish that the people who were outraged would have worked with the small business owner in order to make sure the food and drinks he was serving were authentic to their culture instead of shutting it down but . I think he meant no harm in what he was doing and was trying to celebrate the wonderful memories he had as a child.

Side note; How do we know that he didn't fully immerse himself in the culture when he visited Hawaii multiple times and not just assume he knew nothing because he was white?
