I chose Primose first during the demo. I love the arabesque themes, especially in the music. The music alone will keep me on this game.

I just completed everyones chapter 2, working through chapter 3. I will say that I accidentally ran into one of the secrets that you will appreciate very much.

Anyways, Primrose and Therion are (Sasuke voice actor?) my faves, followed by Tressa/Olberic.

Okay so it turns out even I can't translate some of what I was saying yesterday so I'm gonna post a new response

I chose Primrose during the first demo too and loved the look and music and everything  And yeah with games like Pokemon and others I'd use my iPod eventually when grinding but I've never not had the audio on for this, like even when my family's been watching football on the other TV and it's been loud I've had to connect my headphones to the TV because I can't not listen while I play it

I think Cyrus is my favourite at the moment because he's such a killing machine  But then I also like Therion a lot because of the HP/SP stealing and giving SP, and he can basically stab twice with a dagger each turn and make up the SP it takes for that skill anyway

I've started to use Primrose's Bewildering Grace a lot and it gets kinda addictive playing Russian roulette like that  One time she gave me x100 JP and a multiplier on EXP and gave everyone max BP and it was an epic turn. But then once when I used it it killed 2 of my characters and weakened the team's defenses and poisoned the party - it's such a mess

I got an email about some Nintendo points expiring at the end of the month so I went and bought wallpapers  Here are all of them in 1080p if anyone wants them. I can redownload them in 720p or 4K or portrait phone sizes if you guys want as well, just let me know

I'm surprised that MK8D beat BotW, like both are amazing but still. Also I'm surprised at the over 2.5m gap between #3 and #4, I thought Splatoon 2 had sold more than its number. Also the huge 4m+ gab between #4 and #5  Surprised at how much 1-2 Switch sold as well but then again it was released at a time where there was just BotW and a small handful of other games and its the most casual out of everything

Just finished all of the chapter 2s and now moving onto chapter 3s on Octopath Traveler - 80 hours in  All my characters are level 50 except Ophilia who’s quite a bit higher because she’s my “main” protagonist  

I feel bad for neglecting Splatoon 2, there are new weapons and the return of Ancho-V Games from Splatoon 1 but I’m still playing Octopath

How are you beating the chapter 2 bosses only at 28?  I struggled at my first chapter 2 boss and I was in my early 30s

Have you been going to all of the mini dungeons scattered around like Whistling Cavern and Untouched Sanctum and the Whisperwood and stuff?  I was around 30 when starting chapter 2s but then I automatically grind a bit to make everyone around equal level anyway

Also can all of us take a moment to be collectively shook at the last part of Cyrus' chapter 2 - I was NOT expecting something so dark to pop up out of the blue

I haven’t gone exploring the side dungeons yet but I defineley will have too. The chapter threes look hard, with the level 40 recommendations :’)

I made Ophilia a Dancer and I always have a theif on my team. So I will focus on buffing my damage dealers and debuffing the enemy. I’m reaching 4k damage in one hit occasionally during boss fights. 

I also make sure to only break the boss when he hasn’t gone that turn. So if the boss is within range to break, but if he has already moved, I’ll defend, buff, donate bp and heal up during that turn, so I can break him at the beginning of the next turn. It basically gives another free turn. And the hunter’s leghold trap skill will put the boss last the next turn, also helps to break them before they can move.

And of course, I buy one of two of the best gear and swap em out to my current party. The defensive gear is cheaper than the weapons, I’ve found. It seems gear is much more important than levels in general.

I’m loving the game so far. I guess I wasn’t all that suprised about Cyrus considering he was looking for a book called “from the far reaches of hell”

I've been blazing through the chapter 3s this weekend because none of them require exploring new towns except for Wellspring  I feel like that can take a whilebecause you're trying all of the path actions on every single NPC  Nice to see different areas unlocked off-shooting from the same towns though, always wondered how long it'd take until I'd be able to get beyond those areas blocked by the sign posts.

Oooh that sounds cool, I do the same when Primrose and Therion are on my team but I haven't started using second jobs yet, probably going to very soon but I get very caught up in numbers so I'm intimidated as well

Haven't really used Leghold Trap that much but I probably will from now on, thanks! Otherwise yeah I use the same tactic, those 2 turns of being able to pummel a stunned boss into the ground are so satisfying

I used to buy 8 of the same clothing items for my whole party then realised it was a waste of money and now switch between them when putting characters into the tavern, it's saved me a lot of money
