Favorite characters are Olberic and Primrose. Tressa and Alfyn were so boring, and Therion was just an edgy sh*t. This happens a lot in books where new authors cannot give multiple characters different voices, if you know what I mean. I'm at 65 hours and still have 3 characters' Chapter 2s to do. Haven't even touched Chapter 3 I thought Alfyn was boring too until I experimented with Concoct and omg it's so amazing at breaking an enemy's defense and it doesn't cost any BP or SP Also the way he can give an ally 2 BP on the spot, allows you to pump the killer on your team with so much power. Tressa's alright for me, I like her because she can pass BP and she covers quite a few weaknesses just by herself (wind, spear, bow) Couldn't agree more about the lore and backstories, they really flesh some characters out and it's just so cool to sit there and know more as the scenes go on Hmm the thing about the dialogue/writing I've seen as a complaint in some reviews and I'm not sure about it really. The last 4 Pokemon games I beat within 12 hours of their release. But I'm also way more familiar with Pokemon's system. Don't get me wrong, every character was useful in battle. Alfyn was a great healer and Tressa had all that utility, but they didn't seem as impactful for me and I didn't care for their personalities, Tressa more so. Gameplay wise, Olberic was the simplest but he did big and consistent damage. The problem will be come more apparent in later chapters. If you do notice it anyway. Maybe its partially because I beat it within 50 hours, or just that I'm more keen to the phenomenon. I do agree that their should have been more party interactions. Like, the game acts like its just one person going through these stories, but then they have the travel banter just to remind you that people in your party might have a thought about what's going on. I just completed everyones chapter 2, working through chapter 3. I will say that I accidentally ran into one of the secrets that you will appreciate very much.
