Gaga really did perform well this year. When you look at it, female pop stars are not really trendy and considering Joanne is no where near mainstream sound, she did amazing. The only other pop stars who can still manage to be on top are Beyoncé, Adele and Rihanna. Even then, only rihanna had a hit single recently, the other ones are only album sellers.
