Mediatraffic has a points system that takes sales, streaming, and radio into account. Those are sales equivalents, not actual sales. Another one in the basket. I'll assume that you wanna try again.

I told you before we live in the era of streaming. This is how we measure someone success, not if he or she selling his/her songs on discount on itunes to get like 10k pure sales weekly. You sound like a madonna fan from ths 80s that see the change of the industry but can't accept it.

And even with that "super mega hit" her tour is not doing that good, her album is flopping (is she even gonna sell 1M WW?) and her Spotify numbers post-CTTR are mediocre (I mean, 7K SPS second week -TRAGIC-). Poor ha.

Dark Horse went #1 before promo even start. A big hit doesnt need promo to happen. When it drops it becomes a hit on its own. I am not comparing  anything, but this fanbase was turned upside down with the 2013/2014 katy-gaga thing.  Katy is doing fine, but most people here are obsessed with Katy Perry level of success. This fanbase really turns to madonna-like stans when it comes to katy perry.

I'm curious because you do realize that pure sales are essential for one's career in the music industry, given the fact that it brings in more money than streaming. Congratulations to Katy for being successful on her YouTube videos and Spotify (with a deal). I wonder why that success isn't reflected through other platforms though? Hence her tour not doing well and her album having record breaking second week drops.  Also mess at you ignoring the unsold seats at the one date that I sourced. Typical.
