I'm no American but I don't see any problem with the recreation on the right. What I don't agree is the one with the smartphone LGBT flag into the real thing. The American flag is not congruent with the LGBT flag. Two different things. The recreation is fine because they hoisted up for what they fought for. To put it simply, the smartphone one is like putting a Canada Maple leaf sticker in the American flag.

they watch their best friends die, they get injured for life.

they get kidnapped, they lose their families

they get paralyzed, they suffer post-war trauma. that sh*t never leaves them.
