I disagree. It's ok to be mad when your country is disrespected like that. They clearly don't realize the magnitude of the original picture and how powerful it really is.

Comparing the LGBT+ community's struggles to that of the marines is completely out of the ballpark. No way in hell can you compare the two like that.

How is America being "disrespected"?   
The original picture is a symbol of American triumph, and now these people are using the same composition to evoke LGBTQ triumph in the face of oppression/adversity. If you think standing up for yourself and freedom of speech is un-American/offensive to the spirit of America, then you clearly have no idea what America's supposed to be about

An event like this shouldn't be mocked.

The struggle these men faced to take this picture is incomparable to the struggles of the LGBT+ community.

I'm not saying they don't matter, just a colossal event like this wouldn't make sense to recreate the way they did. There's tons of other ways LGBT triumph can be professed.

But..I know I won't get through to you or most likely everybody else on this site with a differing opinion because this fanbase is based around LGBT+

but who knows.
