n0ne 13,105 Posted June 24, 2017 Share Posted June 24, 2017 To clarify, this isn't about artists you think are overrated and untalented, but Artists you think are talented and have admirable artistry but for some reason or another their music doesn't quite/fully do it for you. For me it's Azealia Banks and FKA Twigs. Azealia Banks is multi-talented; she's a great dancer, singer, and rapper. Her flow is always on point and I love how she incorporates deep and dark house beats into a lot of her songs. But I find myself liking only a few songs from her. FKA Twigs is a phenomenal dancer and I love the experimentalism and eccentricism of her visuals, vocals, and music production. But there's only a handful of songs from her that actually like. Then again, I haven't really delved that deep into her work. For example, Tony Bennett which is like a king, but jazz is unistenable to me. Nicki Minaj is an another example...a great rapper, at least I like rap and some it artists but I feel kinda uncomfortable with some of hers professional attitude. I've listened to the music, watched the music videos, watched performances... but I still don't get most of them. I guess it's one of those "you had to be there" things.
