Those vocals will obliterate any of our fave sans Whitney (Whitney's voice is stronger but Mariah has wider range). She doesn't get much credit for she accomplished as an artist. She made pop girl and rap guy tandem a thing, and let's not start with those 18 number one songs. Her discography is also good. Lyrically butterfly is very good. Over all though Madonna is a more compelling artist, she may not have such an angelic voice as mimi had before but her visions and songs influenced and revolutionized pop culture. As far as showmanship and stage presence, It's a battle between Janet and Madonna. They both command a stage like no other women can besides the fabulous Ms. Tina Turner back in her prime.
