To say she's experienced the issues of more visually black people is akin to saying Barack Obama had white privilege. I doubt she has any more of a place to speak up on this than most other light skinned people. She likely had mixed race issues but that's certainly different. I am a transwoman but I pass as a biological woman. They apologized cause they were caught. Their apology was not sincere and they still continue to act shady actually. The fact that Halsey went out her way to drag Iggy but defend Quavo is not okay. What makes it that much worse is when she goes on Twitter and says she didn't know he's said homophobic stuff and doesn't really know him. Evidently she doesnt know either of them really well and she should have kept her mouth shut. I don't know a lot about Halsey, I've heard that new single of hers and I was seriously impressed and intended to listen to HFK but not with this attitude. As a white gay myself, I try to learn as much as I can but in the end I'll never fully understand the struggle of people that are part of a racial minority. BTW y'all rock I'm glad there are some people here who at least pretend to care (not saying you're pretending but ya know) The biggest eye-opener for me at GGD was the topic about the new Philly pride flag with the black and brown. I totally expected it, but like....calm yourselves, it's okay to focus on two issues at once. I live in Philly and I guarantee that the queer people of Philadelphia don't give two flying s**ts about what anyone thinks of that flag, because it works for us. She's trying to argue that Iggy is trash for accessorizing black culture when she literally put 1/3 of a homophobic rap group on her album while simultaneously selling herself as some "woke" bisexual...?
