At this point nobody knows what a hit is. Bon Appetit sounds like a hit but isn't  again, I could go on and on with the list of "hits" that actually flopped.

Unfortunately nothing can be a hit if Gaga is not promoting it. TC taught us a lesson.

A hit is when you're an overrated or highly commercial male artist and/ or you have a feature on.

Dancing in Circles sounds like a summer smash hit, release it in July with an epic summer video... Make an amazing performnace at the Vmas where the video will win all the awards, so DiC could be the song of the summer and then around late September make Joanne the last single 

And then i woke up 

At this point she will not even release a video from her next  lead single

I love DIC but it will flop, it would smash here in brazil though but its not a big market, and those lyrics, just no. She achieved a new respect from the conservative people lets not ruin it

Tbh I think it was a mistake by interscope to just push TC on spotify but paying dust to radio in the beginning. They should have secured a radio deal or do payola to reach a certain high AI because with that exposure it also could have gone higher then in terms of streams and sales.

The callout scores have proven that people tended to like the song much more the longer and higher the radio exposure was. And at a certain level it would have been a self-runner on radio and promo/video from the side of Gaga would just have been the cherry on the top.

Interscope was aware that Gaga had no time for doing promo but they didn't take advantage of its momentum to push it on radio and overestimated that playlists alone would help the song to keep afloat.
