It's just not a very good song on top of the fact that it wasn't very commercial. I will never forgive those stupid radio hosts that got to hear it a month in advance and hyped it. If I was a radio host and listened to it before it came out I would have contacted Interscope and told them I wouldn't support the track. But honestly nothing else would have been much better. MR would have only done well as a 2nd single and thankfully it did.

I also think A-YO would have done maybe better and would have been more representative for the Album. 

Weren't there rumours that Jonas Akerlund would have shot the music video for A-YO but after the 2nd single switch Gaga decided to shoot a music video for John Wayne with him?!

I agree with this. AYO would have performed better than PI. It sounds like Shake if Off and Up Town Funk. Its not difficult to listen to. And its a semi bop.
