but there are many low budget MVs that doesn't look cheap/use recycled visuals from an apple ad 

Adele's Someone Like You is basically her walking in front of the camera and it's in black and white, but it's amazing (for a Ballad like SLY ofcourse)

I don't think it has anything to do with "being herself"
when CTTR came out I thought she's gonna serve us a meaningful album but turns out it's
just another average album with cringe-worthy lyrics(and people don't even like it!)
it seems like she  doesn't really know who herself is, the only thing she's certain enough  is that she doesn't want to be Katy Perry anymore

Are you serious?? Only because people dont like it? Have you learned anything from ARTPOP? If Katy is passionate about her work and her music, she should continue to promote it. Its not like she needs money
