Are the smaller French villages not more safe? I don't know, I'm just curious. Typically here in the US smaller villages and towns tend to be safer statistically than bigger cities. Don't forget that an attack took place in a village in France last summer (St Etienne du Rouvray) against a pastor so Paris is no more dangerous than a french village.
