Gaga Monster 13,001 Posted June 14, 2017 Share Posted June 14, 2017 House Speaker Paul Ryan said he was “horrified” by the shooting of lawmakers and staff at a congressional baseball practice early Wednesday morning. “We are united in our shock, we are united in our anguish,” Ryan, R-Wisc., said in a speech on the House floor at noon. “An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us.” Appearing visibly emotional at times, Ryan called on his colleagues to come together and put political differences aside. “For all the noise and all the fury, we are one family,” he said. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi echoed Ryan’s call for unity. The shooting “is an injury in the family,” Pelosi said from the well of the House, in a short speech after Ryan’s. I know this may sound crazy, but things have gotten so bad politically here & are steady getting worse! Everyone pissed off about something, incidents like the recent shootings today — that I sometimes think we are on the verge of another Civil War in the future... Egypt.
