I am a white person (as Canadians consider me) but I also am from a country where such terminology for skin colours don't exist in the context of ethnic designations; hence I think I am much more able to see the big picture compared to North Americans. 

The term people of colour is insulting. It is as if you only call BMWs by their name, and call all other cars as "Other Cars". I really don't have any respect for anyone who can call themselves "People of Colour" like bitch congrats, you are like a piece of steak, there is Kobe Steak, the best, vs Other Steaks, you are the other option. You'll ask me what made me think that POC is the Other Steaks ? Well because you only name what matters, rest is just others. 

If you think my last statement is problematic, I would like to ask you to look around. First condition to be considered as white, unless you clearly are not (according to North American approach to it), is to be seen as educated, as member of "respectable" socio-economical class. That's literally what I've learnt in North America, it's so obvious that trying to reject it seems delulu to me  

By all these associations, Reza Aslan is a white man; hence the root of this conversation.

Have you considered that perhaps if you don't know anything about the history of systemic racism in America and what life actually is like for POC/Immigrants/Muslims here, maybe you don't NEED to comment on things you don't yet understand and instead take it as an opportunity to learn and educate yourself rather than judge?

First of all, stop using the term POC. You, yourself, put the white first, as the reference point, as the point all curves should reach ideally, and marginal points around it hence the term POC taking the white as the one and only central reference point. 

That was my whole point. Now since, you talked about a systematic racism I don't know according to you, tell me from where did you get the idea that I don't know it, and what part I don't know so that I can properly answer you. In addition, the term POC is extension of that systematic racism and you still use the term.

I get you think its being used referentially, but that referential relationship is important in discussing the way minorities have shared experiences because of their nonwhiteness
