Greg Abbott signed into law an extreme, sweeping anti-abortion bill with several onerous provisions, including effectively banning abortions after the first trimester and mandating burial or cremation services for fetuses. The world needs more people like you but once you think you can tell me what to ****ing do with my body, that's where I have an issue. The pregnancy was planned but the doctor found out through testing that the baby had a genetic defect that would give him/her a very poor quality of life. It would be nothing but a life expectancy of 15 years filled with nothing but surgeries and doctor visits. If any of these men who passed this bill were to call me a horrible person, I'd ****ing dare them. This wasn't a ****ing easy decision but I loved that baby so god damn much that I chose to end his/her life because I couldn't bare the thought of my child suffering. I love you monsters. HOWEVER.....in cases of rape scenarios, the victims should have special provisions provided...they should not be forced to keep it (this wasn't their fault. Clearly woman are taking your rights away too so stop pretending it's only men out to get you. Why would the government or anybody in that matter mandate and tell you what to do with your own body,it's your own decision to make whenever you choose and you feel it needs to be done. We are humans,circumstances change all the time. A girl coming from a poor family that can't afford to travel to other states to get an abortion for x reasons, is doomed to grow a child that can't support for y reasons. This is madness! It's ridiculous. Whether you can't afford a baby, don't want a baby, the pregnancy was the result of a drunken night or the result of a traumatic rape, or just lack of contraception, no woman should be forced to carry a child. Pregnancy is a traumatic experience in itself for many women and shouldn't be compounded with the trauma associated with giving up a child or raising it without the resources necessary to give it a good quality of life. Knowing you're giving up a child or not equipped to raise a child and forced to carry for 40 weeks is pure torture and should not be tolerated by anyone. Anti-abortion is not pro-life and such legislation does not prevent abortion and does not protect the lives of women and would-be children, instead it places them at higher risk and will inevitably put more strain on welfare services or child protection services Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's ridiculous that we live in a society that requires a corpse's permission to use its organs and save a life but we'll force a woman to incubate a child that she doesn't want/didn't ask for. Her body, her choice. It's that simple. Abortion is horrifying but the ignorance, vitriol, and cruelty of the pro-life group is too.
