It's irrelevant though if he isn't going to bring any of that into his policy as vice-president. Which he isn't, like I previously stated. His history speaks to his core beliefs, which is very relevant. It's great that his policy has not reflected this as of now, but if this is where his values are it could come to be more critical with the more power he gains. It's clear you hold loyal to the current administration, but to ignore people's concerns with the idea nothing has happened yet doesn't take into consideration that values control thought, which come to influence actions. This group of gay people is banned from a Pride Parade because they approve of Donald Trump as president? Disappointing of the LGBT Community to cause a divide amongst it's own in a context that is observable by the public/masses. I don't know why any LGBT person would want D. Trump as their president - as if he ever intended to recognise gay rights. Each to their own though - they have every right to march. A right to march yes, but they don't have a right to have a float. Nothing about the Trump administration is uplifting to the Gay Community nor is it a representation of Gay Pride. They absolutely have a right to be a part of the parade, and can even wear shirts or have signs displaying their opinion. But it was the right call to deny them access to be directly showcased with the parade.

Bebe 17,289
This isn't about censorship of different ideas though This isn't about not allowing a space for people with different opinions. Pride rallies are about equality, unity, respect, diversity, tolerance, love and are supposed to fight against systematic oppression. That's what they are about, that's their message. The organisers obviously feel that Trump stands contrary to the values and message of the parade and therefore don't want a float dedicated to him included. That makes perfect sense.... The pride parade wasn't created to promote the values that Trump represents, it's purpose isn't to push forward an agenda that resembles Trumps.... The pride parade is and always had been deeply political, it has always represented and pushed for certain values. Of course they are not going to allow a float in their political parade that runs contrary to their core political beliefs and values This should be obvious... I'm sure if Republicans started organising a Republican rally they wouldn't want any Hillary Clinton floats reading "#IStandWithHer". Like... That's not what the parade is about? You're free to have that opinion but that float doesn't represent the parade's political beliefs and values so it's probably not going to be allowed... Just go and create your own space - don't hijack the parade just to push your agenda and opposing beliefs and values.

He is the most gay friendly president we have ever had...and you know why? Because he understands that Christian bakers aren't the gay communities biggest threat, its all the Muslims that the democrats want to bring in that actually want us dead. Gays can support whoever they want. It is unfortunate that Pride refuses to accept that gays come in a variety of ways. I am a proud gay man and a proud Trump supporter. Trumps speech after the PULSE nightclub shooting was so beautiful. The thing is i met muslim people and i am friends with muslim people ... and they never wanted to kill me... The most muslim people (especially young people) I met are for gay rights and aren`t terrorist. There are stupid idiots in every ****ing religion and movement etc. but they do not represent all people. If all Muslim in the World wants you dead you would be dead... They are a huge amount of people(1,6 Billion). While i am at the moment more afraid of gun loving religious extremist of any religion... and right wing people (yes i am afraid of them cause i encounter many hateful of them where i didn´t encounter muslim hateful people yet... and of course they exist but they exist equaly with other groups that are hateful) And the pride parade didn´t want them to have a one car .. they could still move with them but if their pride parade don´t want to support a racist, sexist, homophobic president and stupid moreover they have the right to do so ... I would not except a Christian march to let me march with a "I love the devil sign and he is just a misunderstoos christian" Or i wouldn´t let someone march with an i love hitler sign also.... (extreme comparision) Yeah you have the right to vote for whatever ypu want and be proud of it .. but you have not the right to be then not held responibile or not invited by people who find your political decision and support extreme hurtful, wrong etc. That´s their right to not invite you to a party a demonstration etc. when they are so upset about they could organise their own gays for trump parade

I'm referring to them supporting Trump even though they are a marginalized minority who should understand why Trump's rhetoric is destructive. It doesn't work that way, and frankly, its why so many people fled the Democratic party this election. The level of arrogance and moral high ground some of you think you have reminds me of Jehova's Witnesses. Liberalism is the new religious fundamentalism. Whatever. Why would an organization invite people whose agenda is completely opposite to their stated purpose?

Radical Islamist's who throw gay people off of rooftops are much more of a threat to my life and well-being then American religious activist groups, or a baker who wont make a cake lmao. Newsflash: all American politicians abhor radicalism and the kinds of killings you just mentioned. Trump doesn't have a monopoly on that. There are disagreements on how to end terrorism, and I personally think the Democratic party's policies would be better in the long term. But NO ONE is supporting that.
