Is anyone else just enjoying the shitshow that humanity has become? There is no middle-ground anymore. The gay community has become a parody of itself. Politics, too. Neoliberalism needs to keep failing us and maybe some progress will happen. There are a lot of illusions :stalkga: that humans blindly accept.

Lol too much hypocrisy here. The big countries went to the middle east for oil and made dangerous political situation. And now they are blaming whom? Muslims.

I am an atheist but this is too much.

No you shouldn't. I dont understand this mindset. What if it were people silencing the voices of LGBT people like they have done in the past? Were you ok with it then? No obviously not, and you shouldn't have been. I'm not advicating that their positions are equally as correct but that doesnt mean that they shouldnt equally get the right to voice them. Also the reason we don't teach flat earthism is because it has no basis in reality and isnt an opinion... Thats not at all the same.

"What about the people who were silencing the voices of the gays?! I hated that ****"

---> Wants to give people who hate the gays and want to silence the gays a platform to speak.

You can't have it both ways baby child. Hate groups don't care about free speech and will not remember when you, the person they hate, gave them a platform.

And to solve your misconception, they aren't being silenced. No one is killing them, it's not illegal for them to speak. They do not have a right to participate in pride, it's a privilege they must earn.

Freedom of speech does not mean that people are obligated to listen to you or give you a platform for your nonsense. If they don't wanna listen, it's their prerogative to show you the door.

And hereby I am showing Gays for Trump the door. *points at human sized meat grinder next to me*

So, let me get this straight. No pun intended. This group of gay people is banned from a Pride Parade because they approve of Donald Trump as president?

Disappointing of the LGBT Community to cause a divide amongst it's own in a context that is observable by the public/masses. I don't know why any LGBT person would want D. Trump as their president - as if he ever intended to recognise gay rights. Each to their own though - they have every right to march.

This goes against everything Pride is about. It doesn't matter how idiotic, bizarre, hypocritical, sad, deluded and self-loathing the 'Gays for Trump' group are. Pride is about freedom to be who you are and live how you want to live.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

Good.

BAN HA.

People supporting or ignoring the actions of politicians openly against everything Pride stands for have no place there, simple.

They can still go to pride, they just can't go as "Gays for Trump".

If there were a Republican rally, they wouldn't let a Democratic group march, so why does anyone think they deserve a place to march in the parade? :saladga:

The title is misleading. They're not "banned" from attending pride, but they just can't march with them as it's a privately organized event (not state held). Would it be an infringement on free speech not to allow Hilary to speak at a Republican conference? No, it's just not the place for those ideas, and hosting her would be a show of support. Same for the traitors for trump (deliberately left uncapitalized)

Lmao good and I'm glad they aren't going to be there.  Most gay trump supporters I know are insanely conceded and constantly look down on others gays as if they are too weak/ feminine.

That's because those people have never been true victims of systematic oppression. I'm not a fan of generalizations, but I have yet to see a black/Muslim/insert minority that isn't white Gays For Trump member.

I've noticed both on here and at other places, the Gays For Trump often have comment histories that contain dog whistle statements and attitudes in general that mirror the racism we hear from Trump. I don't think that's a random coincidence.

If you support an anti gay president, you don't belong at pride

and what if you support someone who ran for president and flip flops on gay marriage as and when public opinion shifts.

She supported gay rights in 2016 when she ran. People can change their minds. Most people didn't support gay marriage in 2004 yet a majority of people support it now. Hillary Clinton is one of them. She's in no way anti-gay in the present.
