Jan 26 / AG Sally Yates warns Trump White House regarding Mike Flynn having been compromised by Russia Jan 27 / The very next day, Trump demands loyalty from FBI Director James Comey Jan 30 / Trump fires AG Sally Yates Feb 13 / Trump WH finally fires Flynn after The Washington Post exposes Flynn's ties to Russia Feb 14 / Trump asks in private meeting with Comey to drop the Flynn investigation: "I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go." Mar 7 / Flynn retroactively registers as a foreign agent Mar 30 / Trump calls Comey to tell him that the Russia "cloud" is preventing him from making deals (which deals? ), telling him he had nothing to do with Russia and "had not been involved with hookers in Russia and had always assumed he was being recorded when in Russia," adding "if there were some "satellite" associates of his who did something wrong, it would be good to find that out." Trump repeatedly asks Comey to make a public statement saying that Trump is not under investigation, and again asks "what we could do to "lift the cloud"." Comey calls ADAG Dana Boente "to report the substance of the call from the President, and said I would await his guidance. I did not hear back from him before the President called me again two weeks later." Apr 11 / Trump calls Comey AGAIN to ask about making a public statement saying that Trump is not under investigation. Comey: "I replied that I had passed his request to the Acting Deputy Attorney General, but I had not heard back. He replied that "the cloud" was getting in the way of his ability to do his job." Comey: "I said the White House Counsel should contact the leadership of DOJ to make the request, which was the traditional channel. He said he would do that and added, "Because I have been very loyal to you, very loyal; we had that thing you know." I did not reply or ask him what he meant by "that thing." I said only that the way to handle it was to have the White House Counsel call the Acting Deputy Attorney General. He said that was what he would do and the call ended. That was the last time I spoke with President Trump."
