We should divide the total points by the number of weeks and for longevity we can just reward a song taking out their two worst positions but still counting those weeks when we divide the scores.

i dont get what you're trying to say?

Anyway I did my #1s so I thought I'd share:

Don't Play: 32.45

Room For 2: 53.8

I guess I'll get around to doing other people's now

I think taking out the worst weeks isn't too good of an idea, as that would skew the data quite a bit. Maybe just the first weeks? Something like if a song charts weeks 21 you take out week 1?

nah i think we should keep the formula. it would be the truest and most raw

It's kinda hard to explain in english, but I'll try:

We divide the total points by the number of weeks right?

Well, for songs that lasted more than 20 weeks we should not count their worst two positions for the total points, but when we divide those points by the number of weeks we still count those two weeks we took out.

#1

#3

#9

#10

Short example, here we take out #9 and #10 for the total points so

1+3=4

But now when we divide those 4 points we do count all the weeks:

4/4=1.

Obviously we do this for songs with more than 20 weeks as I said before.

But if week 1 is better than week 21 you are lowering the overall score of the song.:S

Not really cuz we're dividing the sum by a larger number

Why did this turn into a math lesson :air:

Well sure but if week one was #2 and week 21 was #49, we are dividing by a larger number but we are also giving 47 extra points to the song. Kinda extreme example but it could happen, anyway let's stick to the normal formula. **** longevity lmao

@Fernster7 @SinnersVenus lets just keep the original formula

all the weeks added up divided by number of weeks

Yeah, I just did one of my #1, let me do the others.:excited2:
