I think ARTPOP was a lot better. Better music, visuals, and performances. Joanne is anti-Gaga with a minimalist stripped down aesthetic which goes against Gaga's foundation. Being more minimalist with this album, and being more "stripped down" doesn't mean it's "anti-Gaga". If anything, this album is the most genuine and honest form of Gaga we've ever seen so far. I think the more she makes albums and furthers her career as a musician, the further we see who she "really is".
