Oh good lord, I know I can't force people to be reasonable

It's called being an adult, you know - to understand other people's feelings and allow people to have their opinion. You'll get there.

Well im sad and angry that my favourite pop star has let me down in these difficult moments. I live in London, just watched thr Ariana concert and so wish she had been there to show her support.

Or if not, at least send in a video or tweet her support... takes 20 seconds. I feel really let down. I don't care what you guys say... i need gaga and she is nowhere to be seen...

It actually does not matter what's going on in her life. There is NOOO excuse good enough.

:awkney: You missed the point, sadly enough. I was saying that she might be doing something to help the victims behind the scene, and not tweeting about it.

I really hope I do. However, I pray that once I get there, my brains won't melt off just because a popstar didn't tweet or  do anything in an outwardly manner to show her sympathies. I hope that by that time I understand that she might be doing something else, concealed and in the background, that she need not need to tweet about, to help the victims. I am praying, very hard.

I would hate for her to send out those usual tweets people do after tragedies, but it would've been nice of her to at least film a video for the Manchester tribute or something. I mean, she found time to record a thank you message to that MTV award show for PI. It's a little disheartening :/ But maybe she's doing stuff behind the scenes? She's been known to donate money to various charities without ever making a big spectacle of things so there's that possibility. I'm sure she'll say something in the future.

Since we don't know what is going on in her life I think it's unfair we judge her for not tweeting or saying anything. We don't even know if she has talked to Ariana. Not expressing your opinion on a topic ≠ not caring about it. It's not her obligation to tweet anything.

All the excuses of her being busy in her life and whatnot is not valid, she can tweet about her urban outfitter line and btws anniversary but not the attacks? How is that ok

I'm not all that bothered about this but, it's probably easier to tweet about something easy like BTW's anniversary, than it is to think of something to say publicly - with the world watching - about something as tragic as the Manchester attack, especially when you're not feeling 100% yourself.

Maybe she is afraid of speaking up against the terrorists because she's going on a sold out world tour and pretty much stands for everything terrorists are against (lgbtq -rights, equality, women's rights, freedom,...). maybe she just wants to draw as litle attention as possible to herself.

Also I don't think that she has posted anything herself to social media, every post (Urban outfitters, Elders react and her Merch) seems to have been posted by her team. But why is no one interested in the fact that neither Adele or Beyoncé have said anything either. No one is questioning why they haven't posted anything.

She also never mentioned anything about the Quebec terror attack by a white extremist against muslims, never mentioned anything about Syria when almost all celebs did etc...i think gaga is just going through something personal. Maybe she prefers acting like these things are not happening. Thats her coping mechanism perhaps? Idk

Also like i said a long time ago i think she is trying to avoid attention her way since she is going on tour herself real soon.

Why do you guys seem to have bad understanding of certain factors?

She's not obligated to give us music.

She's not obligated to jump when we say jump.

She's not damn obligated to tweet or Instagram every time she donates or reaches out after a major tragedy in the goddamn world.

End/ damn thread.

did you ever stop to think that she has someone, like an assistant, running her social media for her? its a job people get employed to do for brands & businesses. did you ever stop to think that gaga signed an agreement when she signed up to work on this movie that requires her to be there? did you ever consider the fact that the closest friend she had died very recently. and did you know that one day you will grow up and realize how shitty the world is and we are all commenting on it in our lives even if its not posted on the internet & that a tweet from a popstar on a timeline that will be refreshed tomorrow will fall into oblivion without remembrance? she could have already donated to the cause and you don't know. have you heard of Prince? he donated so much to so many different people, charities, causes over his lifetime and never made .everyone stop and pay more attention to him than the cause at hand. its not always best to make a public spectacle of your charitable attitude

Gaga does not like to tweet about these kinds of events.

Also terrorism happens all over the world all the time, but you guys only get pissed when it happens in western countries...

The reason people 'get pissed' about these attacks is because they're becoming the norm in Western society, they hate our Western culture that allows us to be free. It actually pisses me off when people jump on the bandwagon "Oh but what about the rest of the world?" Yes it's tragic what goes on in the Middle East, but that's a war torn place and when your home country is being attacked it makes you angry.
