Seriously there is an attack or a threat in Europe several times a month now it seems. 

The UK is the latest "popular target" 

In 2015 and 2016 it was France. 

Smh, I pray the victims and their families can move on from this.

We must think about what leads these people to radicalize. These people don't care about what the Quran actually says, they want to belong to a group of people that fights for 'justice' against the perceived injustice of Western governments and populations. In the end, I think economic inequality, wars in the ME and the Palestine-Israel situation are the main factors leading to many Muslims being vulnerable for extremist thoughts. These people watch videos of what happened in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Palestine. Seeing people being killed on videos can make them feel the need to do something. Now if someone approaches them or if they look up certain things on the internet they're very vulnerable towards this radicalisation.

 

It's also a well-known fact that in the long term, drone strikes on terrorists actually increases terrorism because the other people who sae it happen radicalize.

Totally agree on the issue of economic inequality as a major source of instability in the Muslim countries and, hence, an advantageous factor for radicalization.

In point of fact, following a number of military conflicts and the events referred to as the Arab Spring, the economic distance between EU and the Middle East/North Africa Muslim counties has only been growing. In the world that's operating on a new economic model - the digitalised economy with attempts for green energy solution - most of those counties are struggling  to find their place in the production chains and added value chains (except for Saudi Arabia and those akin to her, largely provided with oil and gas resources).

It contributes to the sense of desperation, the sense that their countries have been abandoned be the whole world who, from some of their points of view, enjoys Starbucks while people in Syria and Libya are perishing, the sense of some hyperbolic injustice. 

It's like the older generation there remembers how they used to live in the good old days, and now they can't live in the same manner, and they put the blame on the EU and USA rather that on the changed and evolving patterns of technology and economy. 

The reason for massive migration from those countries is only partly explained through the fact that people are running from wars - a lot of people are running from the environment with no economical solutions. To make the matters worse, the institutions we have to theoretically foster their economic development (IMF and World Bank) are based on some rules that are often contradicting the cultural legacy of those countries.

But seriously, it's disgusting and so scary. A massive issue regarding these attacks is the strains on Muslim/ white relations. This needs to stop.
