We all know pop girls doing movies tend to get Razzi Awards more than Oscars, just saying... Let's not set our expectations to high or the TIHTY meltdowns will look like a joke I mean no offence but I don't think you know movies more than I do. Edit: There is a difference between working with Bradley Cooper and starring in a minor supporting role in a commercial movie. This is not a commercial movie we're talking about. This is an Oscar-like kind of film.

But do you wish she made more of an effort to promote her music? I remember when I first heard Gaga, she was an unstoppable force and was always performing her music on whatever platform she could to get her name out there. She served visuals and the whole package; music videos, choreography and fashion that she treated as important as the music. Does it come down to the fact she has made it and doesn't have the same passion as she did when she first became the world's biggest pop star, or is it because her current team isn't as talented as the team she first started out with. I feel like she's gone from one extream to the other. She's either travelling the world performing everywhere (BTW) or we just hear her doing radio interviews (Joanne) it's like feast to famine and we've all obviously been missing the eclectic mix of different performances etc. I guess it's not important to her anymore. Not that she doesn't want her album to be a success or that her live performances arnt of a good quality I guess she's really living the 'music not the bling' life. I do miss it all though but just roll with it. I'm just thankful her music quality is still there DIRTY PONY I CANT WAIT TO HOSE YOU DOWN

'At this point' - the movie cycle hasn't even begun and you speak as if there are bad indications already. ???? Btw, I said 'potentially bringing her to the Oscars'. I'm still optimistic though. She does need to campaign for the Oscar though. When Til it Happens to You was released, no one expected it to be nominated (almost winning) for an Oscar, until Gaga started to campaign for it. Actually the same goes for all people here already seeing her getting an Oscar for the best actress for sure... I'm not saying she'll do bad, I was just saying we can't be sure her performance will be well received... Just look at how Madonna was received as an actress, the numerous Razzie Awards she won (this without playing in commercial movies, and to me she was still doing very decently)... I'm just saying that Lady Gaga could be not well received by movies critics, mostly because she basically not an actress but a pop singer...
crisTEAne 21,059
i'd like a 10-hour long documentary/interview, that's all. i miss hearing/watching her articulate her thoughts. if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back

Tbh, she needs to promote her songs like this again. (singing from chapels or in some random places/events) omg i miss 2009 but of course, what ever makes her happy then i'll stick with it "And I still love you even if I can't see you anymore." bujibu 462
No, she has a lot on her plate already with filming ASIB (memorizing lines, acting) and planning/rehearsing for JWT. Also a lot of pop acts have been revving up their promo cycles like KP, Miley and Lorde. She might've tried to find slots that fit her schedule but it just didn't work out. Dirtyicecreamz 1,716
Definitely! Especially when it's a song like The Cure that IF promoted would SMASH like no other. But to be honest, it makes me question the love gaga has for her music which is the worst part It makes me ask myself why spend so much energy & time stanning for gaga and her music when she doesn't even "stan" her own stuff. Shouldn't she be the most passionate about it? because let's be honest, even if she's not promoting, her team could be doing something.. anything. I guess we'll see in the future but I have a feeling she will quit music and pursue acting full time. Stop the music, Start the drama.

There is no way she is going to quit music, she is Lady Gaga and will continue creating music till the day she dies. I just hope she doesn't continue the route she has been going down. I just hope she doesn't continue the route she has been going down. Hopefully so! In retrospect, your probably right. Gaga loves music too much to stop but i also think she's fallen out of love with fame. I remember hearing her talk on rupaul's podcast saying something like "what if you put out a song, or music, and they really like it, like too much" basically saying that sometimes she was afraid of what the public would 'do' with her music and scared that they could ( i guess) bring her up to a stardom that she couldn't control anymore. I think now she likes being more lowkey, she's always going MIA, she never talks to us on twitter anymore, barely tweets in general, doesnt come here, etc. Sometimes i wish she interracted more w/ us Stop the music, Start the drama. Slayer 9,227
Yes, but only because I love watching her performances and hearing her sing live. I honestly couldn't give a sh!t about how it 'promotes' the album to people I don't know or care about. However, we all know she's going through a rough time right now and is very busy with ASIB and the tour, so I'm glad she is focusing on other things and preparing for the next stage of her career. Joanne had a good run and we got some great performances out of it, as few as there were. I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!! Mythos 3,199
Not so much promoting, but just doing more for the album. My favorite thing about the Era was the dive bar, it was so good. But i would have loved to see it like a movie, or some sort, with every song from the album. Like those promotion videos

I honestly don't think it's her team because when they want to they can really pull something out of the bag. I think it's her, she rose up through fame very very fast and she probably still feels a little burnt out and tired from it and just wants to stay low-key when she can; meaning no unnecessary red carpets, no full make-up and costume just to walk from her apartment to the car, and no tv interviews to promote songs. You can't exactly blame her she worked solid for five years without a day off.

I'm just saying that Lady Gaga could be not well received by movies critics, mostly because she basically not an actress but a pop singer... Jared Leto won an Oscar. There are a few reasons why we think, at the very least, the Oscar panel is going to pay attention to this movie. #1 - This is not Iron Man or Superman or Transformers we're talking about, this is obviously not a commercial film designed to generate money. This is a movie following the footsteps of David O'Russell who made Joy, Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. I mean A Star Is Born seems like the brother of La La Land. The content of the movie is Oscar-like. #2 Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence worked with each other for four times, Jennifer got nominated (winning one) for three Oscars, Bradley Cooper got two. Bradley went on to star in American Sniper which brought his number of Oscar nominations to four (in just three years). Now I'm not saying Gaga will be as good as Jennifer, what I'm trying to point out is that Gaga is stepping into the Bradley x Jennifer combo, and both stars are immensely popular and huge and respectable in the entertainment industry. #3 Clint Eastwood and Beyonce were rumoured to be working on this film. If Clint Eastwood is involved, the material in hands is definitely extraordinarily good. #4 A Star Is Born had been remade three times and all of them got nominated for several Oscars. From the music to the acting to the directing. Surely all eyes will be on this 2018 remake and Brad and Stef surely don't wanna break the streak by getting no awards at all, I'm just saying they're working super hard on it. So believe me when I say this movie is potentially getting Oscars, I'm not saying it merely because I'm a Gaga fan.
