Opinions on The Cure

First off, I didn't know whether to tag this as "Question" or "Opinion" so.....

Second, this is not about a music video 

But, The Cure's been out for quite some time now since Gaga debuted it at her first Coachella performance, and we've all had some time now to digest it and fully take in the song. 

So, do you like it? Do you think it's overrated? I'm just curious because I've heard a lot of people say they like it, and a lot of people say that they don't, so I just want to know what people generally think of the song.

For a Selena Gomez or a Chainsmokers feat. Halsey, it would be acceptable. But for Gaga, it comes across as a listless attempt to sound like everyone else, which is not usually her M.O. There's nothing unique or interesting about it. And if that weren't enough, it doesn't even have a bridge. No thanks.

It's a nice song when you're in the car and suddenly it's on the radio. 

 

Other than that, I don't like it. It's incredibly generic. It's trendy, but it doesn't try to add anything new. I couldn't be more displeased with Gaga for releasing something the Lady Gaga I knew would never release.

It's cute and it was a surprise, so it gets extra points for that! I definitely like it!

But it's pretty basic and probably her worst song since The Fame album.
