It's funny how people here tend to forget that her "very much needed image cleaning" was actually started because of that mess of an era (BTW) and that ARTPOP was a first attempt at that ("more and more of less and less" was one of the first things we got told when ARTPOP era started and let's not forget that promo video where she had a mask on and she basically aknowledged that Born This Way was a flop or something) but of course here it only gets praised to the gods

I thought the standard one was a joke  I refused to believe it was te actual cover, I loved the deluxe one instantly tho, the motorcycle grow on me months later

I was amazed, perplexed, surprised, shocked, mixed with an ounce of disappointment that there wasn't more color in the cover of the album. With time I began to cherish this album in its entirety though. The Gagacycle is iconic.

Such. Bad. Design. 

These covers still make me cringe. The standard has terrible font and polish, and the deluxe zoomed into a low-res photo. 

The worst part is that the concept for these covers was amazing, just the execution flopped. 

But the rest of the photoshoot was fantastic and the music was incredible.

I think I was shocked because I'd already made up my mind what I expected BTW to be. After TFM I thought we would get a bright, colourful album cover with a unicorn or some sh!t. How wrong I was. 

I think I loved the motorbikeGa but the font is just atrocious and I still can't fathom how that made it past the draft stage. Imagine how awesome the standard edition cover would be if it had the deluxe edition font. Would have looked bad ass. Instead it just looks like something she did on Microsoft Word.
