He moved to California sadly Too right. I mean, look at the USA, there's millions of citizens who still oppose and detest LGBT people. There'll always be hate in this world for the community, always. The Middle East, Asia and Africa are where life for gay people is the most dangerous. Unfortunately, I don't think there'll ever peace in this respect in these continents.
