I forget to post on a lot of GGD politics threads, usually because I've wasted my power discussing the same topics on reddit and twitter, but I'll say this before it blows up tomorrow.

This is obstruction of justice, and within the last 48 hours, the tone of Trump's presidency within Washington has begun to shift, and many are reporting that republicans are starting, at least in spirit to break rank. Jason Chaffetz to point to a more prominent component of the senate. It's very possible that if these memorandums come to light, it will be the beginning of impeachment proceedings, and while it will stun the republican agenda for quite some time, Pence and the rest of the remaining white house will still be an issue to contend with, and many republicans may feel cornered enough to sit idly by, and do nothing. This isn't a court of law, it's a kangaroo court, and only bi-partisan majority in the house, to bring articles of impeachment, and then the senate to confirm and pass the measure, will be Trump's undoing.

But yes, this is much different that past scandals, or in essence, it's new presence has escalated the idea that impeachment is the only option. Keep your eyes peeled. It's possible that this day to day news cycle is going to go for a month or two, not to mention Claude and Louise's reporting that an open RICO case including indictments are being handed down soon for almost all top republicans that are in line for the presidency. President Hatch COULD get here before Pence.

So much in the political sphere right now, just waiting to be ignited.

Well, it's a little bit of perspective to this question. He's not as crazy as Trump, he's definitely competent, but he's also not as radical as Pence. It's probably better overall, but it's still a pretty conservative republican.
