Lord Temptation 11,209
In reality all three of Stefani's albums since Born This Way have been underrated. And she considered it to be her first real album. For that reason I think of Born This Way, ARTPOP and Joanne as the real Lady Gaga. The Fame and TFM - as brilliant as they are - was just a prelude. 2006-2009 was just Gaga hustling the hustlers in the music biz, getting the paparazzi eating from the palm of her hands - and getting the world excited about her metamorphosis. A lot of the detractors here seem to think it's a country album which, frankly, reveals how much knowledge they have about that genre in the first place. dit 46,482
Joanne is lyrically an amazing album. Production wise though it is weak. The production is lackluster and I am someone who enjoys organic, acoustic driven pop albums. Joanne is too middle of the road on that front.
YeehawKylie 7,817
Well, it's all subjective and every Lady Gaga album has something that makes it special (regardless of which had more 'hits'). Joanne had incredible visuals (sans Million Reasons video [the black and white scenes really cheapen it]), an amazing set of live performances, and the album itself is incredibly 'listenable'. Where her earlier albums aren't as easy to re-listen to in full often, I find myself putting Joanne on during long car rides or at work and heavily enjoying the listen from Diamond Heart to Just Another Day. I will also say that ARTPOP is very similar in how 'listenable' it is.
abortionqueen 532
the tea is that Joanne is a bop and it's truly underrated. i ho(e)nestly think that it's one of, if not her best album. gags' vocals are just amazing, the concept of the album is great imo, and Florence Welch drink up, sisters vocally you can't find the right key to an unlocked door

Tbh it only really had 4 good songs and those were the hits but the album is still considered to be a good album. Tfm had 3 hits and was a more consistently good album. Btw was good too and only had 2 memorable hits. I disagree with so much of this. The Fame is an AMAZING album. Not just 'good' (#12 on Billboard's best albums of all time heck yeah!!) All the songs on the album are awesome imo and the second half of the album is JUST AS GOOD as the first (how can you not love Summerboy, Brown Eyes, and Starstruck?) BTW had more than 2 memorable hits... BTW, TEOG, You and I, and to some extent JUDAS

ARTPOP is her best album,The Fame aged badly because it's synth pop which is rly out of style. EDM still somewhat survives and sound good, sis.
