I guess @Josip was right about Montenegro and Slovenia. I guess I need to improve on my Balkan predictions, Josip, will you be my teacher? :diane:

I liked the song, but also I knew him from representing Montenegro in 2012. I was one of the very few who enjoyed it :poot:

BREAKING: After Chinese broadcaster Mango TV censored parts of the first semi-final they won't be broadcasting the second semi-final and the final, as EBU terminated the partnership.

EBU:s statement:

"On the 9th of May, Chinese broadcaster Mango TV broadcast the first Semi-Final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest live but two performances were censored. This is not in line with the EBU’s values of universality and inclusivity and our proud tradition of celebrating diversity through music. It is with regret that we will therefore immediately be terminating our partnership with the broadcaster and they will not be permitted to broadcast the second Semi-Final or the Grand Final."

Damn my flop country had such a good selection in 2015, we could also have sent this bop. Sadly we drowned in our stupidity and sent a trash

Lmao, after Hungary a song that is also loud/rock and one of the favorites Israel... Followed by the gay dancers and yet again the favorite Cyprus. :air:

Well at least we are at the end of the show, but they seem to really push Cyprus or Israel to the win.

I don't get why Cyprus is getting so much attention. The song itself is mediocre, not to say bad. Forgettable. The singer is just a blend between Shakira and Beyoncé. Really, it's awful, there's nothing unique about it. And it will win?  after last year's winner, I'd expect the bar to be set higher, not the lowest possible.

I'd love Estonia to win, but that's a reach. I'm not really into Ireland's, but at least it was sweet and brought on stage a representation that needs a spot on TV's prime time.

I don't really enjoy Portugal's song, but I like how it stands out as a indie electropop song. It's different, nice to see some variety.

I've to say this final turned out to be really strong after all. It's really hard to put songs low on the list, because I really fell in love with the most of them and I'm not trying to be humble at all. It could've been stronger with two or three songs from semi-final 1 and some better songs from the big 5, I agree. Anyhow. My personal top 26, after seeing all the performances and judging on the full package, for the final is (note: not my prediction):

1. 🇪🇪Estonia: Elina Nechayeva - La Forza (still my #1)
2. 🇮🇱 Israel: Netta Barzila - Toy (yup, I finally fell in love with her)
3. 🇸🇪 Sweden: Benjamin Ingrosso - Dance You Off
4. 🇦🇺 Australia: Jessica Mauboy - We Got Love
5. 🇫🇷 France: Madame Monsieur - Mercy
6. 🇨🇾 Cyprus: Eleni Foureira - Fuego (surprise, I don't hate it, I can't deny she slays the stage)
7. 🇫🇮 Finland: Saara Aalto - Monsters
8. 🇩🇰 Denmark: Rasmussen - Higher Ground (was my #2, but his vocals aren't as strong)
9. 🇳🇱 The Netherlands: Waylon - Outlaw in 'Em (it was my #4, so don't call me biased)
10. 🇦🇹 Austria: César Sampson - Nobody but You
11. 🇨🇿 Czech Republic: Mikolas Josef - Lie to Me
12. 🇺🇦 Ukraine: Mélovin - Under the Ladder
13. 🇩🇪 Germany: Michael Schulte - You Let Me Walk Alone
14. 🇧🇬 Bulgaria: Equinox - Bones
15. 🇮🇪 Ireland - Ryan O'Shaughnessy - Together
16. 🇸🇮 Slovenia: Lea Sirk - Hvala, ne!
17. 🇦🇱 Albania: Eugent Bushpepa - Mall
18. 🇱🇹 Lithuania: Ieva Zasimauskaitė - When We're Old
19. 🇳🇴 Norway: Alexander Rybak - That's How You Write a Song
20. 🇬🇧 United Kingdom: SuRie - Storm
21. 🇮🇹 Italy: Erman Meta & Fabrizio Moro - Non mi avete fatto niente
22. 🇵🇹 Portugal: Cláudia Pascoal - O Jardim
23. 🇪🇸 Spain: Alfred and Amaia - Tu Canción
24. 🇷🇸 Serbia: Sanja Ilić & Balkanika - Nova deca
25. 🇲🇩 Moldova: DoReDoS - My Lucky Day
26. 🇭🇺 Hungary: AWS - Viszlát nyár

This list could be different tomorrow tho. :poot:

We won't break that viewing record with Russia out of the final and this, but oh well. :air:
