This was an album that was full of acoustic and folksy/rock instruments while everyone was else was busy with tropical house and trap music. Gaga's aim with Joanne was to provide a more simplistic and sincere look of her personal life. This was reflected on her vocals, the music, and her fashion. Now lets fast forward 7/8 months later and folksy, acoustic, and simplistic pop music that aims to look closely and sincerely at the artist personal life seems to be rising. Artists from from Niall Horan, to Harry Styles, to Miley Cyrus seems to be having their own Joanne eras as reflected by their music and fashion. Now, Gaga was not the first artist to create the type of fashion and music on Joanne, but she certainly was the first big artist in a long time to due so very directly (with an entire era).
